We’re thrilled to share that we’re expanding our volunteering and work experience programmes, thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.
We have been awarded £20,000 which will help us offer more volunteering and work experience opportunities not only for our residential companions, who we already provide with safe accommodation, but also for people across Bristol who are facing homelessness or barriers to employment.
Over the next year, we’ll create 10 new work experience placements through referrals from homelessness services, colleges, and prisons. On top of that, we’ll be offering volunteering opportunities and skills-based support to 25 community volunteers and 35 residential companions.
With the right support in place, we believe everyone deserves the chance to find stable work and move forward. Thanks to the The National Lottery Community Fund, we can provide this chance to more people.
