New Barbour jackets gifted to Emmaus companions
Emmaus Bristol has gratefully received a donation of brand-new Barbour clothing thanks to the iconic countryside fashion retailer and the Business in the Community network.
Barbour joined forces with Business in the Community, a responsible business network to donate their excess stock to a charity in Bristol. Emmaus Bristol immediately came to mind and we are delighted to be the new owners of 25 boxes of brand-new Barbour clothing!

Companions at Emmaus Bristol are now rocking their new Barbour jackets and have shared their thoughts:
“It’s nice to have real quality stuff, thank you so much, it’s a nice feeling!”
“It’s made me feel posh and sophisticated”
“We’ve never been offered anything like this before, it’s nice to be thought of.”
“Lots of it will be good for interviews and it’s good to have a decent waterproof that will last a while.”
“I would never be able to afford this usually so it’s nice to get access to something so high end and good quality. I like having something new instead of second hand.”
A big thank you to Barbour and Business in the Community from all of us here at Emmaus Bristol.
The remaining jackets are now be sold in our Bedminster Parade store, helping to raise vital donations so we can continue to support people with experience of homelessness, poverty and social exclusion. For shop locations and opening times visit our ‘shop with us’ page.
