Are you active on TikTok and keen to develop your social media marketing skills for a local charity? Here at Emmaus Bristol, we are looking for a creative Volunteer TikTok Content Creator to help engage our supporters and reach new ones. We’re looking for someone to capture and produce TikTok content that will showcase our diverse community and social enterprises.
Main duties
- Research and keep updated with TikTok trends to ensure our content aligns with the platform’s user base.
- Capture creative content to showcase our homelessness charity, social enterprises and behind-the-scenes activities.
- Conduct regular content-gathering visits to our Stokes Croft and Bedminster shops.
- Ensure our consent process is followed for any TikTok content that features people.
- Monitor feedback and actively participate in the TikTok community to increase engagement.
- Support the Regional Communications Officer on local and national communications campaigns.
Skills required
- A good understanding of TikTok’s functionalities and trends.
- Experience in creating short-form video content or a willingness to learn.
- Good written and communication skills, and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Interest in photography, video and a keen eye for detail.
- Motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to show initiative and think creatively.
Time commitment
We’re looking for a volunteer who will commit to at least 4 hours per week. We can be flexible in terms of what day(s) these will be, and you can do more if you would like to!
Please note that this volunteer role is for someone who is 18 years of age or older.
Training, support and benefits
- As an Emmaus volunteer you will be given a full induction when you start.
- Our Regional Communications Manager will support you throughout your time as a volunteer.
- We will offer you the opportunity to develop your skills and experience for a worthwhile cause, which you can add to your CV.
- We can provide you with travel expenses to/from Emmaus Bristol sites on the days you volunteer.
- You will have the opportunity to do optional training sessions with the Regional Communications Manager if you would like to gain further experience in areas such as public relations, website management, Google Ads and design.
