We’ve revamped our kitchen thanks to B&Q Foundation
Thanks to the B&Q Foundation awarding us a £10,000 grant, we’ve been able to make significant improvements to the communal areas at Shaftesbury House – our shared community home.
The funding has enabled us to upgrade key kitchen appliances, including a new commercial electric cooker and fridges, helping to create a more practical and welcoming space for companions.
We have also redecorated both the kitchen and the small lounge, brightening the environment and making these shared areas more comfortable for everyone. Work is continuing, with part of the flooring currently being re-laid following essential structural repairs. Charles Wallace, our Head of Buildings said:
Thanks to the generous support from the B&Q Foundation, these improvements are already
making a real difference for our companions, improving the spaces where they cook, eat, relax, and spend time together.
