Fundraising for Emmaus Bristol

Festive fundraising with Bristol Cathedral and St Nicholas Bristol was a huge success for Emmaus Bristol. Three events – two Carols by Candlelight services inside the Cathedral and a Beer & Carols evening on College Green, jointly hosted with St Nicholas – raised an amazing £2,411 to support our work.

In addition, Emmaus Bristol and the cathedral successfully submitted a joint grant application, which was awarded £2,000 specifically for the Pants for People project. This initiative provides essential items such as underwear, thermals, socks, and warm accessories to people experiencing homelessness.

The Homeless Outreach Team at Bristol Cathedral has already begun
distributing the first batch of clothing:

We’re thrilled to be involved with the Emmaus ‘Pants for People’ project. We’ve received the first batch of
clothing, all excellent quality, and on our first walk we were able to distribute gloves, neck warmers, and thermal underwear – all gratefully received. We hope the relationship we’ve started through this project will continue and grow, to the benefit of people experiencing homelessness in Bristol.

Thank you to everyone who attended the festive events, donated, and supported the campaign, and to the Cathedral and St Nicholas for their collaboration.
