A message from our Fundraising Manager Harry:

At Emmaus Bristol, stability and consistency give our companions a foundation to move on from homelessness. This is made possible by people who believe in creating lasting change.

Some of our biggest steps forward have been thanks to people who left a gift in their will. These legacy gifts help us plan ahead, support more people, and grow our Emmaus community.

In fact, it was a legacy gift that helped us buy Backfields House in 2013 – now the centre of daily life at Emmaus Bristol. It’s where companions, volunteers and staff come together to work, support each other and keep our social enterprises running. That gift didn’t just buy a building – it helped us build a stronger, more connected Emmaus community.

Leaving a gift in your will – even a small one – can make a big difference. After looking after your loved ones, it’s a powerful way to carry your values forward and support our work for years to come.

If you’re considering it, or just want to know more, I’d be happy to talk confidentially and with no pressure.
